Friday morning I only saw one Iridium, 97- 51 A; friday evening both observed
and seen Iridums flared up. 97- 30 C to a stunning mag -6 with a glow of light
around it and lasting for about 5 seconds; but stayed in the negative magnitudes
somewhat longer. Faded to mag 5 rapidly. 97- 30 D came just to mag 4 flare.

Just before these two Iridiums the chinese rocket that launched the two dummy
Iridium payloads (that I didn't see) made a almost overhead pass and was for much
the pass at mag -3. The bright light speeded across the sky as the rocket is at
a height of only 250 km.

Another flare was observed from 97- 12 A, the DMSP-2 9 sat. When looking for it low
in the south it flared up to mag -3 for several seconds and then faded to mag 4 for
the rest of the pass. Also saw 97- 12 B, a piece of debris from this launch.

Also nice to observe are 86- 19 BJ and 97- 17 B; easy objects with a small period.
