After the previous postings regarding a bright object following ISS,
I waited a couple of hours hoping more recent TLEs would clear up any
mystery. Unfortunately, all they did was extend my confusion.

The following are around the time of my observations (02271.9999)
but still have the objects essentially coincident at that time ...

    ISS
    1 25544U 98067A 02271.93141355 .00045195 00000-0 54068-3 0 1973
    2 25544 51.6350 252.1079 0017339 312.4121 84.4804 15.60340512220217
    Progress M1-9
    1 27531U 02045A 02272.06736926 .00020725 00000-0 25218-3 0 236
    2 27531 51.6353 251.4186 0017822 312.7786 128.2967 15.60324323 536

If I retard ISS' TLE by 30 seconds in time (by reducing the mean
anomaly by 1.9504 degrees), I get (with fictitious SPACECOM and COSPAR
    IDs) ...

which (by construction) matches my crude observation. Can anyone shed
    some light on this?

    Thanks.
