I was able to see the recently launched Nimiq 5 geo sat. Nice to catch it, in a lower orbit. Usually I observe geo sat's in geo orbit. I had the mount track the stars, and watched it pass by. Used by telescope method to observe it. http://www.kfetter.com/satvideo/2009/sept/35873.wmv Area of sky 21 h 58 m R.A -12 h 55 m Dec It passed near neptune, a short time before passing this area of sky. It was earlier and slightly lower in the sky, compared to spacetrack's latest data. It was over 12000 km away, at the time.
