Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos has provided scans of clippings of four articles on the spheres that fell in Bolivia on August 10, 1979, reported by three different news wire services, and published by three newspapers based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. These are the first copies of original news reports I have seen. They augment the long-available English translations of two local newspaper articles, found in the Moon Dust reports telexed by the Defense Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in La Paz to the U.S. DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency). Addendum 2 of my report presents this new information, including files containing the original scans, followed by the reproduced Spanish text, presented side-by-side with an English translation provided by Allen and Zaida Thomson. The articles significantly improve our understanding of the facts surrounding the discovery of the spheres, including the following information of particular relevance to the re-entry hypothesis: - spheres confirmed to have fallen on August 10, 1979 - photo of south sphere authenticated - insight into origin of erroneous sphere mass and diameter cited in Moon Dust telex - location where south sphere fell narrowed to village of Enconada - reports of the discovery of a third, much smaller sphere Detailed reports and analysis of the above are included. http://satobs.org/reentry/1979-072B/1979-072B.html#Addendum2 Ted Molczan _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Thu Sep 18 2014 - 10:48:42 UTC
