Thanks to Ted , Bjorn and a sighting by Russell we seem to have resolved this. It looks like what I saw was.............. Resurs 1-4 (25394 1998-043-A) Transit 21h25m32s 4.6m az: 70.0d ENE h:68.7d Despite the predicted magnitude it flared to around mag -1 as described by Russell. First time I have noticed this bird.....and the images from the chance capture last night seem to tie in with the Resurs 1 series design. http://directory.eoportal.org/images/ResursO1_Auto1.jpeg http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/satcom_transits/unknownA.jpg John ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
