> A tip of the hat to you "amateur astronomers" Who are you calling "amateur"? :-) The article is pretty much right within the constraints of space, although one could amplify the comments quite a bit ... and I should note that although the observations of these satellites by SeeSat-L members are incredibly valuable,the analysis referred to in the article doesn't directly make use of them - the inadequacies of the US filings with the UN are apparent directly from the documents themselves combined with internal consistency , common sense, and a little basic knowledge about the space program. The SeeSat-L info, of course, lets us know what the numbers in the filings SHOULD have been! Glad you enjoyed it...
