    I forgot about those guys:(
    
    Can't imagine how difficult is was to watch sats before personal computers 
    with tracking software. You would have to get the info from newspapers, and 
    tv, etc I believe.  But I was very young then and had no interest:)

    Just to clarify things (to the best of my knowledge), SGP4 was developed by
    Ken Crawford in 1970 and SDP4 by R. S. Hujsak in 1979. Felix Hoots and Ron
    Roehrich wrote Spacetrack Report 3 in 1980 for the Air Force I believe
    which widely distributed the models. Software with these models began
    appearing several years later. TS Kelso provided the report in pdf format
    (1988) which helped further distribute the models.
