Hi, just wanted to share with you a very unusual event and photo op. Off-topic: seesaters everywhere may be interested in a bright new nova in Aquila! Near the equator, good for people in N & S hemispheres. It was found at magnitude 6, magnitude 3.7 recently and is still brightening. An easy target for unaided eye even in suburban skies. For info and finder chart see: Sky & Telescope Hot news http://www.skypub.com/news/news.html AAVSO http://www.aavso.org On-topic: southern Californians will see Mir pass very close to the nova tonight at about 18:32 PST 12/2. Run your prediction s/w for details. A truly unique photo op!
