I have also observed that recently there are a lot of bright flares in the mornings. This week there are 11 flares (8 morning + 3 evening) -- (-7, 2), (-5, 1), (-3, 2), (-2, 5), (-1, 1) being (mag, number) pairs. Of course, this cannot be compared with 10 flares on a single morning. But there is definitely an increase from the average of 3 to 4 flares per week in the past. Further, almost all evening flares are in the south, alt ~30 degrees. Any reasons, why?
