Attempted obs at 22:05 UT pass of STS 108 in north at elevation 25 degrees. Shuttle bright at 0 mag. Thought I saw a bright flash about 5 degrees behind shuttle, but it turned out to be Cosmos 1271 Rk (12465/ 81046B) which actually got up to mag 1-2 as it tumbled heading north. ISS followed 5 minutes behind shuttle.
