    Spot on Tom. binoculars have too restricted field of view
    to spot the occasional flash , unless you are very lucky,
    like my first reported obs on starshine 3. 
    
    Your frustration only emphasizes that the current project design is never
    going to produce enough visual observations of sufficient
    accuracy for air drag measurement. A matter I raised in the posting
    containing the observation report.
