    Rarely will you see a launch from where you are, unless the flight path heads north of the
    equator, like the space shuttle when going to the iss, are a flight heading north from Guiana
    Space Center located in south america. When Envisat was launched I remember hearing people see it
    as it headed to orbit along the east coast.
