It is almost stationary, except for its 7 degree inclination, causing
the currently observed flash episode, after evening twilight, to be at
about 20 deg in the SW for you.

On Christmas Eve, it will still have its minimum at 20 degrees, reaching
33 deg in the morning for you.

There should be another (or three more) flash episodes - I'll try to
find out as soon as possible after converting all obs Nov.17-Dec.XX to
    RA/Dec.
Without these obs, and/or answer to my question of continuity, it seems
there might be a second episode half an hour after (or before!) the
    current one.
The second pair could occur in Eridanus - Orion - Canis Minor, ie before
morning twilight for Kevin, darker in California.
