Managed to achieve both. (2) Long track on #91050 based on search elements provided by Ted Molczan and Mike McCants. This satellite appears to be in an elliptical orbit with i = 63.2 deg, period 206 minutes and approx 250 x 10100 kms. The satellite is variable but there was no obvious pattern ( not that I tried that hard to determine such). (3) Another new unknown #91051 whilst doing a scan of the Clarke belt. When first seen it was moving very slowly but over the course of the next hour it was obviously speeding up and getting brighter so coming down from apogee. I "unfortunately" had to stop tracking it as #91050 was due and I was unable to locate #91051 again afterwards. It appeared to show no variability. (4) USA129 running a little late - about 21 seconds. (5) I have still two large areas to go through as part of my Clarke belt survey and will hopefully examine them tomorrow. Will take about 3 hours to do - approximately 60 fields each measuring 2.1 by 1.75 degrees. So far it looks like another unknown geostationary!. (6) Strays observed will also be reported tomorrow. (7) TIPS was rather faint and not well defined. I tried to take the centre of the tether for positions. (8) I am not tracking tonight!! - Ive got too much to go through still and I also want to construct a new camera ( modify a 400mm f/5.5 telephoto lens with a focal reducer to give a focal length of about 135mm at around f/2.) This lens has an aperture of 3 inches compared to my present one of just over 2 inches and calculations indicate I should be able to gain about 0.6 to 0.7 magnitudes. (9) Happy New Year to all - I might even track 1st Jan 2006!
