    Yes, I've  attempted this, but never successfully. Here are a few URLs that I used. I might mention the term "lunar flare" appears to have two meanings. One, is the flare similar to an Iridium flare, and the second being the reflection caught off the moon's surface, caused by perhaps a meteor hitting the moon's surface.

    Yes!  I only know of iridium lunar flares.  The iridium flares are
    among the brightest solar flares so they are either the brightest
    or among the brightest of the lunar flares.  Also they are
    extremely predictable unlike other satellite flares but you will
    need a telescope to see them (not naked eye).  More details,
