Yes, I've attempted this, but never successfully. Here are a few URLs that I used. I might mention the term "lunar flare" appears to have two meanings. One, is the flare similar to an Iridium flare, and the second being the reflection caught off the moon's surface, caused by perhaps a meteor hitting the moon's surface. http://labbey.com/Famous/Stuart.html http://mars.astrobio.net/pressrelease/397/lunar-scarface http://www.netspeed.com.au/minnah/LunarFlare.html -fredv ----- Original Message ---- From: George Roberts <gr@gr5.org> To: SeeSat-L@satobs.org Sent: Thu, December 3, 2009 6:46:50 AM Subject: Re: Moonlight on satellite reflections? Yes! I only know of iridium lunar flares. The iridium flares are among the brightest solar flares so they are either the brightest or among the brightest of the lunar flares. Also they are extremely predictable unlike other satellite flares but you will need a telescope to see them (not naked eye).
