In the last 4 nights I've observed two Iridium 11 (97-30G, 24842) flares, one Saturday evening (8 Feb. UTC) that was about -3 when I looked up at it, and one tonight (11 Feb UTC) that reached about mag. zero. In both cases it was northbound on a pass east of the zenith and flared in the NE or NNE, well past its culmination. Saturday evening I was able to see it at one-power for about a minute but tonight only for about 40 seconds. I'm guessing it was the "left" MMA that produced these flares.
