Tyler MacKenzie put fingers on a keyboard to type in: > > Can anyone tell me where to find elsets for the new Taurus rocket launched > from Vandenburg this morning; I would like to drag someone out in a couple the elsets can be found after the item number is specifically known. My interest has been observing the primary payloads of launches - I haven't gotten into observing rocket bodies or understanding the terminology involved with them. After doing a little research, I've come up with the following where one of these two should be the item we want: 98-007D (norad 25160) 98-007E (norad 25161) (98-007 A,B, and C are the GFO and Orbcomm payloads) my inexperience plays into this as I don't know which one of the two items above is the right part that has the Celestis payload attached to it. I think the news items said upper stage, but I don't which one of D or E represents the upper stage of the Taurus rocket. once that question is answered, then tracking the rocket part with the remains will be easy. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- de fcc sgn, Robert Smathers (roberts@nmia.com) Albuquerque, NM USA Robert's Satellite TV/Baseball page: http://www.nmia.com/~roberts/ Proud owner, 4 TODYWEN(!) and 4 BUD-lites - Albuquerque Intl.
