We need to buy a muzzle for this guy ;) As I've said before, campaigning for YES votes or NO votes can be used against you if there is a protest. And since the newsgroup admin types aren't exactly friendly to our proposal, I think we should be cautious not to give them any ammunition. So our get-out-and-vote messages should be neutral just to be safe. I think it would be good if all three of you made up your own 'please vote' messages for SeeSat-L so people can see that it's more than just me behind this. Please include this in your messages: ----------------------- To vote, please obtain an official ballot (called a 'CFV') from one of these newsgroups: news.announce.newgroups, news.groups, sci.astro, sci.astro.amateur, sci.astro.planetarium, sci.space.policy or sci.space.shuttle or, you can request a ballot by e-mail from David Bostwick <bostwick@cas.chemistry.gatech.edu> and ask for the sci.astro.satellites.visual-observe ballot. ----------------------- I now have my e-mail list of amateur astronomers up to 200. I'm sending off polite requests to them to please vote and I include the pointer stuff above. I just started my 'underground' effort and I've already received e-mails from 3 folks who promised YES votes... c ya, Jim _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
