Last Saturday, Feb 6 (02:05 UTC Feb 7) evening EGP (#16908) made a
66 degree pass for me, flashing rather brightly through binoculars the
whole way. This was the first time I have seen it. I noted that it made
three sets of FFF- flashes, then a fourth set of a continuous,
indeterminate number of flashes. I never could convince myself that I
correctly counted the number of flashes in this 4th set; though I'm pretty
sure that the number of flashes varied from 4th set to 4th set. This
3-3-3-N series of flashes repeated for several minutes until I quit
observing it.
