Just observed the recently launched (9 Feb 99) Globalstars FM 23, 36,
38 and 40.  Observation order was #25622, #25621, #25624 then #25623.

I first observed using an 8" telescope but also checked it after
initial sighting with 7x50 binoculars. The magnitudes were in the 5-6
range so they were reasonably easily seen in binoculars.   Brightness
appeared steady. 

Separation was significant in the six days since launch.

Obs times were 04:25-04:49 AM local or 11:xx UT on 15 Feb 99 from
Falcon, CO USA
