    -Mir is coming down in the Pacific--I certainly dont know of any way its 
    going to the moon! or to be docked the ISS. 
    
        Aside from that, yes you can get NASA TV other than satellite, SOMETIMES:
    CNN seems to always broadcast Shuttle launches. And if CBS news is on at the 
    same time as a shuttle launch, they broadcast it live. 
        I have a sheet here from NASA that explains a few other ways-- it says 
    "through collaborating distance networks and local cable providers" However, 
    I DONT think you will get NASA TV conferences or other non-shuttle related 
    broadcasts without direct NASATV, which is via satellite.
