Since Rob Matson is already working on ETS-6 predictions, I decided to stick my neck out and see if I should try chicken farming instead. ;-)> Predictions for ETS-6 flashes on or near Feb.26, 2000 for SkyMap use are linked from my ETS-6 page: Rename your current deepsky.txt, download http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle/deepsky.txt as replacement. Set your Deepsky option On, and magnitude limit to 1. Flashes should appear when ETS-6 passes between two identically labelled ETS* marks (use NGC type label). Each day, the flash predictions shift approximately one degree towards the Sun. The interval between two successive marks ("galaxies") corresponds to 0.31 seconds of ETS-6 rotation. The predictions are based on a least-square fit resulting in RA 03:23, declination -26.1 degrees, and panel angles 33.3, 46.3 and 55.7 degrees.
