Brian, This is something that has been addressed during the briefing and the Shuttle Program Director specifically mentioned that this has something to do with plasma and it gives the false impression that things are flying off. Being the devil's advocate, would this be something that perhaps would have been noticed by the onboard crew for reporting to JSC which, to my understanding, is something that did not happen?
