Hello SeeSat-L Having just subscribed to the list I wanted to introduce myself. I've spent a lot of time on Heavens-above.com in recent years, observed quite a few satellites but was not inclined to record observations accurately. That has changed since USA 193 made the news, and I see that other recent subscribers have come on-board for the same reason (good luck to them). My only sighting of USA 193 so far was yesterday morning when, with a clear sky to the north, it passed very close to the pole star. I kick myself now for not having a stop-watch at the ready. Here's what I witnessed: http://tinyurl.com/yvfbju Then I read a posting from Marco Langbroek that said: "Method: Meade ETX-70 (7cm/F5) @ 14x magnification, stopwatch and Molczan's Obsreduce software." So that's how it's done! Ok, now I have Obsreduce installed I'll set about learning how to use it. Clear skies everyone.
