Good Morning: I read Patrick's earlier post and his comments about how he obtains the current UTC. Based on my experience, and the comments of occultation observers, it appears that the displayed time on handheld GPS units could be off by up to a half second. Depending on what your accuracy requirements are, that may or may not be a problem. A few years ago I wrote a fairly lengthy article about how to obtain the current UTC.
