The Shuttle, now in a lower orbit, is moving faster. Notice the current TLEs for the two, found here: http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/elements/index.html have the MM for the Shuttle as: 15.77928038 but the MM for the ISS as: 15.77152653 The higher value means more revs/day, which means faster, which means a few hours after separation you will see STS-122 *leading* the ISS.
