Afternoon all If anyone wants to go into this subject then THE book to use is called SATELLITE ORBITS IN AN ATMOSPHERE - Theory and Applications " by Desmond King-Hele and published by Blackie, ISBN 0-216-92252-6 in 1987. The maths can be pretty daunting at times but even without following all the maths the book is quite readable. I doubt if its still in print (?) and it was pretty expensive at the time. The subject of orbit decay is complicated with many variables involved - as this book will show! I must confess I have not read the book above for many years - when the first edition came out in the late 60's - have it somewhere in my house - I really worked my way through the book but the book mentioned above is a great deal thicker and more complicated !
