    Hi Bruce

Just finished observing - had problems with it being so hot one of the pc's kept
    shutting down !

    As regards the FAQ:

A few weeks ago I went to one of the other satellite groups and tried to arouse
some interest in SeeSat and positional work etc.

The general sort of impression I got from replies-both from the group and
    offline was that

    "SeeSat was boring",
"the FAQ was out of date"
    "no discussion of techniques etc".
"use was not being made generally of new technology etc"

The satellite FAQ presently there is a massive document - its not something one
can absorb in a few minutes and I myself have never read the entire document -
there is just too much of it, but, as you point out, it is somewhat out of date.

The problem is who is prepared to update it --- "somebody"

The suggestion was also made that it would be of value if several observers
described their approaches to observing and illustrated it with pictures etc on
the SeeSat website so that new readers could see the options available.

Again "somebody" will have to do it.

The problem is our "somebody" is "nobody" - I dont think I originated that :-))

    Cheers
    Greg

Anyway Im just reporting what I gathered from my unsuccesful efforts to arouse
    interest in positional work,
