Brad, if I understood correctly, you attempted to observe the flare from TULSA 1 (Lat +36.128 N, Lon -95.988 E) on the 19th at about 01.00 UTC. If it is correct, I can say you were too distant from the flare track. In the file containing the track coordinates, I find the following entry (Lon, Geo Lat): -95,98 30,25 or, looking for your latitude, I find the entry: -99,66 36,02 This confirms you were too far. At the following link I loaded a screenshot where you can see your site (the small orange dot. Zoom in to see it) along with the flare track. http://digilander.libero.it/SATrack/NossFarFlare.jpg Thank you anyway for the attempt. (Also your report is of help) Best Regard, Simone ---------- Initial Header ----------- From : "Brad Young" brad.young@domain-engineering.com To : "SeeSat" seesat-l@satobs.org Cc : Date : Thu, 19 Feb 2009 07:56:26 -0600 Subject : RE: Unusual NOSS Flare Observed and Recorded > Simone, > > It appeared from your website (http://digilander.libero.it/SATrack/) that a > NOSS 3-4 flare might be possible at Tulsa (TULSA1 below) last night.
