Yesterday morning I had 8 predicted Iridium flares that were brighter than +2. Because of, shall we say technical difficulties, I managed to only see the three -4 magnitude ones (which were the ones to see anyway). Each of these flares, all about the same brightness, made for a temporary second Venus while the real Venus was shining nearby. The last flare wasn't visible very long though as the burgeoning dawn had already brightened the sky quite a bit.
