Observed the kill vehicle test. I think that on this occasion the target
was launched from Vandenberg & the attempted kill vehicle from the
    Pacific.

From Tustin in Orange County, at 18:23 saw the rocket engines burning as
a bright light at about mag -9? Azimuth near 280 degrees & about 20 deg
elevation. When this finished, I could see the remaining cloud shining a
blue-white of reflected sunlight for a few minutes. Observation hampered
by bright moonlight & intervening clouds. Attempted photos, will see how
    they look.

I assume that the kill was attempted after engine shut-off ;-).

    Earlier I'd seen 24323 GPS 2-27 r1 on schedule.

    Best, Mark
