I came across this website in an Email from the National Space
Society. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a shot.
Earth Satellite Ephemeris Service:
http://www.chara.gsu.edu/sat.html
The service provides a list - similar to Quicksat - of visible
satellites over your location (you have to input your lat/long/elev).
I asked for a list of "bright" satellites and got a list considerably
longer than the Quicksat output for the same night with the minimum
magnitude set to 4.0 in quicksat.ctl and the "visible.tle" set from
TS Kelso's website. There is no indication of how
old the tle's used are, or which satellites are included in the
calculations. However, the service was easy to use, well-prepared and
fast.
