New Mailer,
I,ve been reading the messages and enjoying them. Thought I'd try
one. I loaded the Iridium sats. that have remarks after their names
(man, tum etc.) into the Quicksat program and observed #27 tumble with
multiple flashes at 0530 UT Jul 24 from 49.94N 98.32W .
I was so pleased with the observation that I ran the other satellites
with the program and observed from 0722 to 0828 UT. Running in and out
for an hour was a bit much and I missed some.
    0722 - c1503r mag<4 0724 - c371r mag<4
    0728 - c1726 mag 6 0739 - meteor 1-13 flash to +2
    0740 - c1892r mag 3.5 0747 - Activnyl r 3.5 to 4
    0752 - meteor 2-3 mag 5 0756 - meteor 1-10 mag 5
    0824 - c1538r mag 6 0828 - c2084r mag 4

Is it possible to ID a satellite that was seen in June of
1986? Saw at 1049 to 1052 PM CDT, mag +1.5 moving from south
to 60 degrees altitude in west. The inclination is obviously
>90 degrees. This is my first logged satellite.
