For launch and orbit basics, the Naval Space Command did about a half hour program I believe was called "Introduction to Satellite Orbits". I am not sure if I remember the title correctly. But it was a great overview of all types of orbits, eliptical, polar, retrograde, geo and leo. The relationship of launch azimuth to orbit inclination is addressed as are the other elements. Its a little PBS'ish with Issac Newton speaking from the great beyond but the information presented is consise. It aired a lot on NASA Select some years ago when they had a lot of time to fill. If anyone could provide a pointer to a copy of this program in .mov, .mpg or qt I would appreciat it very much. tony dinkel hooked on satellite viewing since my dad launched Echo II...and took me outside to see it pass. >That's right. Such matters were the topic of an article in the March/April >2002 issue of the Smithsonian Air & Space magazine.
