Didn't quite make it back to bed, decided I would create a "twhanel" monitoring twitter for mention of satellites, I have them also on ISS and STS127. As soon as I created it I saw an observation report of a fireball over California, exact location not known at this stage. Report was from a "Silicon Valley Engineer" who described it as probably space junk from a polar orbit. Will get in touch then finally get some sleep! Looking at the ground track seems too far west, but FWIW! You can see the report at http://satellite.twhanel.info/ Robert ----- Original Message ----- From: "daniel crawford" <djcunix@gmail.com> To: <seesat-l@satobs.org> Sent: Tuesday, July 14, 2009 2:59 AM Subject: Re: Decay Alert and nice pass of 28506 / 2004-052-B Lastest TIP message puts decay over Indian Ocean after crossing Mexico, the US, Canada, W Russia and Iran. Both the US and Canada have 'visible' passes on this rev and the prior rev. (around 10:30UTC +/- 15 minutes). I'd really like for somebody to see this one! The clouds are supposed to roll in by then for me. Regardless, 3rd shift dictates that I'll be up anyway (on my roof's work, with binoculars).
