Due to excepcionally clear skies I was also able to observe the STS-127 / ET combination from my location at 22:23 UTC, 15-JUL-09. I could clearly see the orange tank below the shuttle. But the whole show lasted only 15 to 20 seconds as shadow ingress for me happened at an elevation of just about 6 degrees. I really had to pick it up at the horizon. The weaker magnitude ET disappeared first and I could follow the shuttle for a few more seconds before it dimmed and went out of sight. I must have been the eastern-most person to observe it. Thank you NASA for postponing this launch long enough for (some of us) in Europe to see!
