The intolerable heat is taking a toll on my observing, and then a rainless patch of cloud gave me an excuse to go in. No success with any planned items. GEO-1K 2 (37362) was seen, but only 1 @ +7F timed, though 3 seen, on a very low pass. Saw a 1X flasher that should be Morelos 1 (15824) or Telstar 303 (15826), but only seen twice, and only one timing. Will return to that area tomorrow, at about 14h40m -7, 2:57 UT. Oscar 29 (18362) flared nicely to +0 (> Altair) at 3:03 UT. Finally, surprised by NOSS 1A (8818) while readying to time it - it flared to +2 and then I missed the timing. It appeared to be about 15s early.
