    sky was clear in SE, (mars was outstanding! big & red)
    but usa 129 was in the E & NE behind high clouds.  
    I was lucky to see +5 vM stars in the 10x70 fov.
    
    ps even where the sky seems clear (G) also seems like more
    light pollution here than last year :(  I recall the sky looking
    black and seeing +8.. stars, once upon a time.  not lately...
