Flares during a lunar eclipse

This is a new thought for me.

Would there be any change in the frequency of ground visible flares off of
solar panels of the geosync satellites or any satellites in orbit as seen
from an area that is in the path of a lunar eclipse, partial or total? I can
imagine red flares during a total lunar eclipse but what about the frequency
or the duration?
