Kevin Fetter reported: >I would estimate milstar 6 was mag 8.2 at 1:44 am EDT ( June 26 ) > >So a approx position of 17 h 56 min R.A - 7 Deg 15 min Dec At 5:44 June 26 UTC, the Sun was at about RA 6:22, Dec +23.3, almost opposite the Sun in RA, and at a declination angle of about 30 degrees net. Kevin is at 45 north. I wish I were able to figure out the geometry, but I wonder if Kevin has found another type of geosat flare, near solstice (June for northern hemisphere, December for southern). Or maybe it's just Milstar 6 (03-012A, 27711). Clouds and rain in Austin -- one of the wettest Junes ever here.
