Some information about Cosmos 397:

It was launched on Feb 25, 1971 by a F1M booster from Baikonur.  It was an
ASAT intercepter which exploded close to its target Cosmos 394 on Feb 25
1971.  The Soviets made many such missions in the past causing many debris
to orbit the Earth.
