Subject: Time: 12:11 OFFICE MEMO Prospero Observation Date: 96/03/15 I concur with Rainer. I used more specific coordinates for Newark, DE, namely 39.6833N, 75.7583W, and did a search on a list of about 4200 satellites. Norad #05580 (Prospero a.k.a. Black Arrow) passed directly above Venus moving south to north at 7:41:10pm EST, "shining" at magnitude 9.7. Obviously the lucky observer happened to catch a solar glint off the satellite, explaining the short duration of visibility. --Rob
