I wish to express my thanks to everyone on the SEESAT-L list who was kind enough to identify the satellite I and my astronomy class saw on the night of March 12. The winner does indeed appear to be Lacrosse 1. I am certainly glad we didn't get to view just an ol' Cosmos sat. :^) I was also happy to find that what I saw, such as the sat.'s color, were not a product of poor visibility or observing skills. About Lacrosse's radar image level of 2 meters: For comparison, Magellan, the orbiter which radar-imaged Venus in the early 1990s, had a resolution of "only" 360 feet. Again, my thanks. Larry Klaes
