This made me remember, that the values I reported where not
what we normally call 'Standard magnitude' - they were for
QuickSat, which according to its documentation uses
'full phase, 1000 km'.

I usually adjust satmag.dat to make SkyMap OK, and quicksat.mag
for QuickSat, without noticing how large the difference is.
(Other programs I've tried use the elset line 0, which is
awkward, since I often use elset files as they come)

In this case I set 6.6 / 4.5 for SkyMap (half phase, 1000 km?)
and 5.5 / 3.4 for QuickSky (full phase, 1000 km)

Quicksat uses a very large effect of atmospheric extinction, but
in this case elevation was not low enough to account for the
differences.
