Hey, I only found out about the flares in December. (Things take a bit longer to reach us here in South Africa.) However, since I started looking for them we have had the highest rainfall in many years, corresponding with the flooding in Mocambique, which you may know of. The result is that I have so far seen only ONE flare and could impress only my family with my foreknowledge of the bright lights in the sky. I hope they will last at least a month longer when our winter is approaching.
