This is slightly OT but if you will forgive me.... The recent decay of Raduga 33 reminded me of an article I saw in the British Astronomical Association Journal in 1981 about the decay of Cosmos 749 on 1980 December 25. This passed directly over the South Coast of England and was by all accounts a spectacular decay. I wonder if any subscribers here remember seeing it and could give their accounts?
