I do not think that the three reports via Larry Wood, and the two later ones via Allen Thomson, match any known decaying satellite. My current list of May's decayed objects, just updated on my Decay Watch page, is: # Designation Name Estimated actual decay times My estimate SCC report 2004 2004 25111 97- 83 B Intelsat 804 Ariane r May 3.64 May 3.65 4825 70- 89 V Cosmos 374 deb May 3.7 May 6 26914 85- 56 N Giotto Ariane 1 deb May 4.2 May 4 23794 96- 10 A Raduga 33 May 6.26 May 6.27 898 64- 49 E Cosmos 41 r2 May 7.25 May 7.26 11630 79- 99 B Cosmos 1145 r May 7.48 May 7.51 16564 79- 17 GX Solwind deb May 8.8 May 9 27234 01- 49 GE TES PSLV deb May 10 May 7 27083 01- 49 AB TES PSLV deb May 11.0 I have only #27234 as a decayer on the 10th, though the final elsets for this have an epoch on the 5th and SCC lists it as decaying on the 7th. In any case, at the time of the sightings the position of its orbital plane would have made it invisible from Alberta. Note also that the re-entry of Raduga 33 _was_ observed.
