IRS-P2 doesn't do bright flashes on every pass. In fact I'd say it's fairly infrequent. I believe it's usually when it's west of the zenith here but pretty high up in the sky. Passes east of the zenith seem to be almost always pretty faint. Continuing cloudy evenings around here. Fortunately got to see 2001 Q4 (NEAT) last week. There's a very bright ISS pass tonight, so maybe it will be visible to some extent through holes or thin clouds.
