    Dear All!
    Tonight at about 20:49:30 GMT, I saw a very bright flare a satellite
    I couldnt identify. Observers from my group estimated the brightness
    to between -5 and -6 mags. After I recognized the object, it stayed that bright
    for about 10 seconds. At that time, the sat was approximately at
    Ra = 15h Dec = -5d (Libra)
    After the flare, the object remained visible at about 4 to 5 mags.
    The slow motion suggested that it was higher than an Iridium satellite.
    Later, it passed close to the little dipper at Ra 16:30, dec +70 d
    My observing site is at 49.8030 N, 8.5980 E

    Any ideas?

    Rainer
