Observations 26 May 2004: --------------------------------- Cosatrak 1 (Computerised satellite Tracking System), 1004x low light level CCD surveillance camera (0.003 lux) with 145mm focal length f/2.5 lens with focal length reducer, field of view 1.89 x 1.43 degrees. Conditions poor - after a nice winters day the night looked good - however soon after sunset a light mist set in and everything was dripping with moisture. Eventually had to stop with the lenses completely fogged over-- need a better dew shield system! (2) The tracking mount lost elevation position several times after having behaved well for several months, so either the lubrication is freezing up or the various gears need some cleaning. (3) The main camera fogged up but the "finder" camera was fine, despite the main camera having a superior dew cap. (4) USA 160 and USA 160C observed strong twilight so few reference stars (5) USA 125r2 and USA 40r were difficult customers with just an occassional brief flash seen. Noss 6 (D) was the faintest object observed this time.
